CALL FOR SCORE

The “G. Rossini” Association of Latina, with the aim of expanding the repertoire of the ensemble, is issuing a call for scores for compositions to be submitted, dedicated to the wind orchestra.

The performance of the selected works will take place in a concert to be held at the “O. Respighi” Conservatory of Latina between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. The date of the event will be communicated to the authors of the selected pieces. The compositions will be performed by the “G. Rossini” Wind Band of Latina.

This call for scores is open to composers of any nationality who have not yet turned 35 as of the  01/01/2025.  Each participant may submit no more than one score. Compositions of a maximum duration of 10 minutes will be accepted, composed for an ensemble consisting of

The use of electronics is not permitted.

The “G. Rossini” Association will select the compositions suitable for the concert. The association also reserves the right to mention additional scores considered worthy of attention, which may be included in the future programme of the wind orchestra.

The scores must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on 31/07/2025 at the email address ????????? . Each candidate cannot submit more than one composition.

Participants are asked to send the scores via a .pdf file and to attach an audio recording of the composition or a performance made with sampled or midi sounds.

In the email containing the score and audio file, the candidate must specify NAME, SURNAME, DATE OF BIRTH, email address to receive communications and attach a copy of an identification document.

The results of the competition for scores will be announced by 30/10/2025 on the website www.bandadilatina.com/callforscores.php ; the selected composers will be jointly notified by email.

The selected composers must send the separate parts to the “G. Rossini” Association within ten days of the communication of the inclusion in the concert program. For compositions not published by a publisher, the .pdf files of the separate parts can be sent. For compositions published by a publisher, the complete material must be sent in the original copy (score and separate parts) of the edition available on the market.
